For Absolom A. Herrera, building a legal career in Colorado was always about expanding his reach to help people when it counts most. Raised in Westminster and Arvada, Absolom set his sights early on higher education, earning his bachelor’s degree in business management and finance from Regis University before earning his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2015.

Absolom originally envisioned working in corporate law to complement his family’s entrepreneurial background. But shortly after passing the bar, a chance conversation at his family’s longstanding Westminster restaurant, Los Arcos, shifted his trajectory. A local managing attorney realized Absolom had just licensed as a lawyer and offered him his first associate role on the spot. While stepping into family law was unexpected, Absolom quickly found his calling in the work. Since entering private practice in 2015, Absolom has built over a decade of continuous courtroom experience across the Denver metro area, including Adams and Broomfield counties. As a Senior Attorney at Jones Law Firm, he brings a fluent Spanish practice and deep legal knowledge to complex marriage dissolutions, allocations of parental responsibilities, child support modifications, relocation disputes, and marital agreements.
