Rachael Piazza

Senior Paralegal I

Rachael Piazza’s legal career grew out of a lifelong affinity for deep research, writing, and unraveling complex stories. Raised in a small town outside Buffalo, New York, Rachael earned her bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Mary Washington in Virginia before heading west to Colorado in 2016. Driven to turn her analytical strengths into a hands-on career, she completed a rigorous, year-long paralegal program through Boston University while stepping directly into the legal field.

Rachael spent her early years in litigation managing personal injury cases, where she developed a sharp eye for case strategy, medical records, and procedural details. That experience gave her a solid operational foundation, but her goal was always family law, where she could work directly with clients through deeply personal life transitions. At Jones Law Firm, Rachael brings nearly a decade of legal experience to managing domestic relations matters. She recognizes that family law cases rarely fit into neat templates, as every family, asset pool, and conflict carries its own unique weight.

What defines Rachael’s work is her steady, protective presence when clients feel most vulnerable. When sudden financial curveballs strike, such as a client being abruptly cut off from joint bank accounts or credit cards, Rachael steps in immediately with clear, practical steps to stabilize the situation through court status conferences or emergency motions. She remains a dependable anchor for clients through months of litigation, working closely with them to keep records organized and billing manageable. For Rachael, the true measure of success is seeing a client reach the end of a difficult case with their confidence and future intact.

What you may not know: Outside the firm, Rachael is an avid traveler who regularly plans international trips with her teenage daughter. At home in Colorado, she stays active snowboarding at Keystone, hiking, catching live shows at Red Rocks, and cheering on her hometown Buffalo Bills. She is also a licensed notary.
