Stepping into the legal profession with a focus on public interest and community advocacy, Nicole Schaum’s career reflects an unwavering dedication to helping individuals navigate life’s most vulnerable moments. Raised in New Jersey, Nicole began her legal journey in Little Rock, Arkansas. Before joining Jones Law Firm in Denver, Colorado, she built a robust foundation in survivor advocacy and immigration law, serving as a Survivor’s Attorney with Arkansas Immigrant Defense in Springdale, Arkansas, and later as the Director of Affirmative Immigration at Hernandez & Associates, PC in Denver.

Nicole’s academic foundation took root at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Sociology with an emphasis on Crime and Law in 2018. Driven by a passion for service, she earned her Juris Doctor from the Bowen School of Law at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, tailoring her legal education toward public interest law and community-centered advocacy.

Now serving as a Senior Attorney focused on Divorce and the Allocation of Parental Responsibilities, Nicole approaches each case as a blend of strategy, problem-solving, and genuine human connection. Grounded in an ethos of respect, reliability, and absolute honesty, she prides herself on providing nonjudgmental guidance. Whether managing complex custody disputes or guiding clients through dissolution proceedings, Nicole stands as a zealous advocate—ensuring her clients feel fully heard, meticulously prepared, and supported at every stage as they transition into their next chapter.

What you may not know: Outside the courtroom, Nicole finds balance through creative outlets like gardening, art, and cooking, often accompanied by her pitbull, Natalie. A lesser-known fact about her life trajectory: before committing to the legal field, Nicole almost took a radically different creative path and enrolled in pastry school!
