John “Jack” Duggan

Jack brings a wealth of experience and a strong passion for helping people to our team. He has lived in Colorado for 2 years, having moved from his hometown of Chicago, Illinois. With 12 years of experience as an attorney, Jack’s career is rooted in service-based industries. Before becoming a lawyer, he served as a police officer, assisting people during some of the most challenging times of their lives.

Jack began his legal career as a solo attorney in Chicago, handling a variety of cases as a neighborhood attorney. After relocating to Colorado, he joined Divorce Matters before becoming a part of our team at Jones Law Firm, PC. Jack holds certifications as an attorney, paralegal, real estate broker (Illinois), mediator, and police officer (Illinois).

What you may not know: Jack is married to his high school sweetheart, highlighting his long-standing dedication and commitment, both personally and professionally. A dedicated family man, Jack is a dedicated husband and father to four energetic children. His kids’ activities keep him busy. He enjoys snowboarding in the winter and playing pick-up basketball with his 10-year-old son. In his free time, Jack loves staying active and being involved in his children’s lives.

I helped a young woman who had been in an abusive relationship for several years. The parties shared a newborn. Abuse occurred in front of the child. The client remained in the relationship to keep the peace and to protect her child. Through a motion to restrict we were able to limit father’s parenting time to supervised parenting time and required a gradual parenting plan for father after he received treatment and provided proof of sobriety.
