Karla Avitia
Effective legal advocacy relies on precision, speed, and absolute procedural accuracy. Karla brings a rigorous background in high-stakes case management to the firm’s family law practice, ensuring court filings and disclosures are handled seamlessly.
Karla grew up in Longmont and became the first in her family to graduate from college, earning her degree in Political Science with minors in U.S. History and Leadership Studies from the University of Colorado Boulder. She began her legal career handling high-stakes immigration cases at Bull & Davies, PC, mastering the art of precise case management and complex filings. Today, as a fluent Spanish speaker and commissioned Colorado Public Notary, she applies that deep procedural skill to dissolution of marriage, parental responsibility allocations, and family law matters across Colorado.
Karla believes that anxiety disappears when communication is crystal clear. When clients reach out feeling overwhelmed, her immediate focus is solving the urgent issue right in front of them, followed by a straightforward roadmap for what comes next. By keeping clients informed at every turn, she turns complicated legal proceedings into a collaborative, predictable experience.
What you may not know: While her warm, communicative style makes her a natural client advocate, Karla considers herself a true introvert at heart. Outside the firm, she is training to become a certified Pilates instructor, raising her Basenji mix puppy, Azula, and supporting her partner, a professional MMA fighter.
