Grant P. Bursek
When clients sit down with Grant Bursek, they quickly realize they are working with someone who values clarity over legal jargon and honest conversation over empty reassurance. Family law decisions carry long-term weight, and Grant believes the best way to help clients move forward is to give them a clear, realistic picture of where they stand and what comes next.
Grant’s path to family law grew out of a deep interest in human behavior and communication, which began during his undergraduate studies in psychology at The George Washington University, where he also earned his law degree. He spent his early career in Colorado as a public defender and later co-managed a general practice in Steamboat Springs. Working closely with individuals in a close-knit community showed him how profound the impact of family law can be, inspiring his move to Denver to dedicate his practice entirely to domestic relations.
Whether guiding parents through custody arrangements or helping couples navigate complex property division and marital agreements, Grant keeps the process grounded and focused. He knows that legal disputes often hit people at their most stressful moments, so his initial approach is simple: listen carefully, help lower the temperature, and map out a thoughtful, step-by-step strategy together.
That same steadfast commitment to doing things right led Grant to defend client rights on a larger scale. When an unethical agreement threatened his ability to continue representing his clients, Grant took the dispute to the Colorado Supreme Court and secured a ruling that ultimately protected legal ethics and client freedom of choice statewide.
What you may not know: Outside the office, Grant’s favorite hours are spent with his wife, their daughter, and their two dogs, Rufus and Winston. He stays busy cooking, gardening, traveling, playing pickleball, and finding time to dive into open-world RPGs on his PlayStation.
